A Training Resource for Churches
A comprehensive, Scripture-based training that equips pastors and ministry leaders to cultivate churches where people with disabilities are fully seen, valued, and engaged as co-laborers in the body of Christ. Organized into thirteen lessons with both a Leader’s Guide and Participant’s Guide, the resource integrates biblical foundations, practical guidance, and real-life application to help churches identify and remove barriers to belonging and participation.

Ongoing Support of In-Country Church Initiatives
God is at work in the global Church.
The Living with Hope Church Initiative seeks to be a part of the movement of the Holy Spirit at work in Affiliate Countries. Currently LWH partners with Hope Mobility Kenya in providing the gift of mobility and sharing the hope of Christ to people with disabilities in Kenya. We partner together in equipping pastors and churches in Kenya through the Hope Mobility Kenya Church Initiative.
Theological Foundations of Church Initiatives HMI
God is love and his love endures forever. (Psalm 106:1)
Each person is created in the image of God with value and purpose. (Genesis 1:26; Eph. 2:10)
We live in a fallen world and are all broken by sin. We all need the hope of Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus Christ to die for all our sins, (Romans 3:22-24; 1 Peter 1:3) Through a relationship with Jesus Christ we can be called children of God. (John 1:12)
God is both good and sovereign. God’s glory is displayed through our weakness. God uses suffering for his purposes. (John 9:1-9; Romans 8:18-28)
Scripture emphasizes spiritual healing over physical healing. Spiritual healing includes a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ (John 3:16) and a right relationship one to another (John 17:20-21).
God still heals today. God heals who he wants, what he wants, when he wants, how he wants, where he wants and for any reason, he deems good. (1 Peter 2:24, Psalm 103:2-5)
The Church is incomplete without people with disabilities. God has given a mandate to the Church to “go” and “compel” people with disabilities (visible and invisible) to come to the banquet so that His house may be full. (Luke 14: 21-23, Mt. 28:19-20)
The Body of Christ is made up of many parts, each possesses indispensable gifts to be used in the Kingdom. We are to be co-laborers who serve and minister together. (1 Cor. 12:20-27)
